An opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape of South Norfolk and North Suffolk in a one-day workshop with established Painter, Printmaker and Curator Sarah Cannell. Free up your drawing skills and learn how to capture the essence of a place through line and bold colour. This workshop focuses on developing drawing skills and finding strong compositions as a starting point. We will be using a mix of pencil, pen, ink and acrylic on paper.
Sarah’s workshops are suitable for all abilities with her relaxed approach giving beginners confidence and her depth of knowledge being a useful source for more confident artists to bounce ideas off. Participants should expect to come away from each workshop with fresh ideas as well as a renewed enthusiasm and creative drive. Teas and coffees included, bring your own lunch. Workshop runs 10-4pm, all materials included, maximum 12 students. Workshop space at The Raveningham Centre, Beccles Road, Raveningham, Norfolk, NR14 6NU.

Workshop information
Venues vary and for some workshops we will meet on location and then relocate to the studio for the afternoon. You will receive details and instructions 2 weeks prior to the course start date.
Materials are included in the workshop price but students are encouraged to bring their own favourite materials and tools too. Make sure you have appropriate footwear and clothing if you are booking onto a Walking Drawing Painting course. The routes are not strenuous but could be muddy. Please bring a packed lunch, tea and coffee will be available.
Where to stay: There are a number of local bed and breakfasts. The Kings Head Hotel in the local market town Beccles is very comfortable and affordable and only a 10 minute drive from the workshop venue.
The workshop should be paid for in full when booking a place. Payment is non-refundable, if you are not able to attend your workshop you can choose an alternative date.
