My linoprints start life as a drawing collected out walking along the Waveney Valley, the image starts as black and white and is then painted with vibrant watercolours. It’s a really enjoyable process as I can be quite controlled with the key lino block and then still get to experiment with the layers of colour. I call them ‘painterly prints’ as they cross the lines of printmaking and painting. The prints are all handmade and handpainted on 300g watercolour paper. They are mounted and wrapped in cellophane to protect the image.
